The compositions featured here...performed by the indie quartet 'Pilot Blue' from Fanwood NJ...were recorded in a live studio setting (simultaneous, w/ no instrument baffles). Preamps: Sytek MPX-4Aii for close mic'ed Guitar & Bass amps; RME Octamic II for 7 mic array on the Drum kit; & Grace 201 for vocals. All signals converted to digital via an Alesis HD24XR. Mixing/mastering accomplished in SONAR at MoonMix Studios mastering facility.

This original Piano & Vocal Ballad...a tribute to Lauri's Father John Henderson...was recorded on-site in the client's spacious living room. Susan Evans' Vocal was recorded via AKG C414 and Lauri's Digital Piano (along w/ the vocal performance) were both preamped thru a Universal Audio 2-610. The takes were recorded onto an Alesis HD24XR Hard Disc Recorder. The project was then mixed & mastered at MoonMix Sudios' mastering facility.

The 4 songs featured in this playlist represent a re-mixing and mastering project for the Trenton, NJ-based Hip-Hop artist Gmac. Multiple tracks has been recorded in Audacity (DAW) and were provided in the form of 16-Bit/44.1kHz .wav Stems of the Vocals & Instruments. MoonMix Studios re-mixed the Stems in SONAR (per the artist's direction). Mastering was accomplished in WaveLab.

These 3 spirited Hymns hail from the Eglise Evangelique Baptist Church Choir of Philadelphia, PA. A 'Location Recording' project, the Choir performed these hymns in their church (a spacious, Greek Revival style temple) assembled on an acoustically designed plaster construction stage shell. An array of 4 on-axis microphones were placed in an evenly spaced quad pattern across the front of the shell, elevated minimally above the vocalists; and at the same upward angle as the shell's stepped platforms. A 5th & 6th mic were placed on either side of the choir, midway back; and parallel along the side walls (so as to capture the stage's natural reflections & ambience). Mixing & mastering were accomplished in SONAR.

The three songs featured in this playlist are from the repertoire of Yusef B. Rastafari, a Trenton, NJ-based musical artist who characterizes his compositions as 'New Age American Anthems'. This was a re-mixing and mastering project, with a Bass track added to 'Call Now'; & a complete background music ensemble added to 'No Static'. Source material for the later was uploaded from the artist's multitracker (Tascam DP-01) as separate tracks, w/ the remainder of the material provided on CD-R as stereo .wav files (all 16/44.1). [Note: background music tracks recorded at MoonMix Studios. An original acoustic/electric version of 'No Static' is also available from the artist, on Rasantheum Records.] Tracks mixed in SONAR; mastered in WaveLab.
